Wetsuit, swim and apparel specialist, Zone3 has announced the sponsorship of Jens Petersen-Bach – a top long-course triathlete and 2013 Ironman Copenhagen winner.
This latest sponsorship deal follows confirmation from Zone3 that it will be launching internationally in 2014. The brand has also forged an endorsement agreement with Tyler Butterfield, the two-time Olympian triathlete from Bermuda, and continued its sponsorship of South African ITU triathlete Gill Sanders for the 2014 season.
Zone3 notes that, for the world’s top triathletes, ‘the quest for high-level equipment is essential and it starts with the swim.’ Peterson-Bach enters the year with excitement and confidence and is looking forward to notching up personal best swim times in 2014, wearing the Zone3 Victory D wetsuit.
Danish triathlete Petersen-Bach is seeking to build on his performances and ultimately put in his best performance to date at the season finale in Kona. As Jens said, “I had my break-through season last year and the plan is to develop as an athlete in 2014. I have a few big races throughout the year but the main goal for me is qualifying for Kona and ultimately putting in a top 10 performance.
“With the Victory D I believe I have the fastest wetsuit available to achieve this and have a great year!”
His excitement and optimism comes following a great season in 2013 where he won the Ironman event in his native Copenhagen and put in a great race to podium at Ironman Arizona, along with a number of other successful finishes globally. After some downtime and a winter of uninterrupted training, the Dane is certainly one to watch out for this year.
