New on Kickstarter next month, on 9 June, the Kuai multisport biometric headphone set is positioned as ‘the first ever headset of its kind, designed for athletes of any sport.’ The device’s technology is supported by Duke University’s Center for Living and combines a heart rate monitor, foot pod, sport watch, MP3 player and virtual coach into one device.
Kuai measures heart rate, VO2 max, calories, cadence, distance, pace and speed and is even waterproof up to 3m.
Kuai can keep users in their ideal training zones by sending voice feedback and configurable voice alerts during workouts. It also works with a free companion app that offers detailed workout analysis and customized training plans.
The final product is complete, and Kuai will be utilizing its Kickstarter support to mass produce the headphones.
