British Triathlon and Triathlon England have a new opportunity for an experienced Director of Customer Experience who will establish this new integrated department across BTF and TE. Reporting to the CEO as a member of the senior management team, the successful applicant will develop this new department, and once established, lead customer experience across the sport.
The British Triathlon Federation is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon.
Triathlon England (TE) is one of the three Home Nations of the British Triathlon Federation (BTF), the other two being triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon. The three Home Nation Associations are responsible for all aspects of triathlon in their respective countries, and contribute to the work of BTF.
The new Director of Customer Experience will use insight and data to develop compelling customer products and services for triathlon. These will be delivered through the membership department, which, under the Director of Customer Experience’s leadership, will deliver ambitious commercial targets.
The Director will also lead the Communication and Commercial teams within BTF and TE ensuring that a developing strategic vision for triathlon between BTF and the Home Nations is delivered through image and financial targets.
The successful candidate will have outstanding consumer understanding and management experience probably gained in the sporting or commercial sector. The candicdate will use analysis and research to create product and service offers that are subsequently delivered profitably to new target audiences. The Director should thrive in the sporting environment, enjoy negotiating between stakeholders and can turn the ambitious vision of a fast expanding sport into a sustainable business strategy.
The role will be based at the British Triathlon headquarters located at Loughborough University; however, the nature of the role will require evening and weekend working and occasional travel.
