Sport-specific insoles brand, currexSole, and apparel specialist Endura have issued releases to celebrate their sponsored athlete, Nils Frommhold, take the biggest victory of his career, on Sunday 12 July, at DATEV Challenge Roth in Roth, Germany.
Best foot forward with currexSole
currexSole triathlete Nils Frommhold won DATEV Challenge Roth 2015 in a personal best time of 7:51:28, five minutes ahead of the defending champion Timo Bracht. Frommhold has trained and raced in the sport specific currexSole RUNPRO and BIKEPRO insoles for years, and formed a partnership with currexSole in May after a string of injuries kept him from training for over a month.
With currexSole supporting his feet, Frommhold has completed nine IRONMAN races, finishing in the top six each time, including a 6th place finish at the 2014 IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
He is the 2014 IRONMAN South Africa Champion and 2012 IRONMAN Arizona Champion, alongside his recent win at Challenge Roth which he considers, “The greatest racing success in my career.”
Regarding the race, Frommhold spoke with Slowtwitch.com and said, “I felt great in the water and great on the bike, kind of similar to last year, but this time I had a larger advantage and that meant that Timo [Bracht] and I swapped the top two podium spots.”
Motivated by the win and feeling healthy ever since he began wearing currexSole on the bike and run, Frommhold is confident about his upcoming races. He added, “I think that this year is going to be a very special year. I feel strong, healthy and am excited to continue to test my abilities on race day.”
Frommhold’s schedule for the remainder of the year includes: IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia (POL) on 9 August; IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Zell am See (AUT), 30 August 30; and the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, Hawaii (USA), 12 October.
