Asia Bike – the sister trade show to Eurobike – is celebrating its fifth edition from 9-12 October 2015 in Nanjing China, with the Demo Day in the Nanjing Zhongshan Sports Park on 8 October. In a relatively short timeframe, Asia Bike has developed into one of the most important bicycle trade shows on the Asian bike market.
The show covers sports bikes, luxury bikes, urban bikes, e-bikes, cycling equipment and accessories – with triathlon taking a more prominent position in 2015.
“Asia Bike is an important platform for us,” said Stefan Reisinger, Head of Eurobike, Messe Friedrichshafen. “It’s the ideal sourcing event for western companies to get to know the Asian market better. In addition, it provides the ideal opportunity for our long-standing Eurobike partners to establish themselves in China.”
As a trade show, Asia Bike runs a series of supporting programs. Events such as Demo Day, Show in Show, Bike Travel Village and Test Center are taking place as scheduled. In addition, in order to follow and promote new trends in the Chinese bike market, new programs are being held, including the First Asia Bike Industry Summit, an innovative Design Show, Bike Clubs & Events Village, and a Triathlon Village.
While Eurobike at Lake Constance is where the global spotlight shines on the new trends for the next season, Asia Bike plays a similar role in presenting the latest innovations and trends for the 2016 season to the Asian market.
Asia Bike 2015 will be held in three exhibition halls at Nanjing International Expo Center with an indoor exhibition area of about 40,000m² and an outdoor area of 12,000m².
More than 350 brands have applied for booths at Asia Bike 2015 including: Cannondale, GT, Merida, Motion, Bridgestone, Campagnolo, Cube, De Rosa, GT, Kellys, Lapierre, Look, Norco, Pinarello, Shimano, Specialized, Tern, Thule, Upland, Vaude and Wilier who are returning to Asia Bike 2015.
In addition, brands such as KHS, Marin, Polygon, XDS and Yakima are attending Asia Bike for the first time.
Demo Day
Originated from Eurobike, 2015 will see the third edition of the Asia Bike Demo Day, which takes place on 8 October, the day before Asia Bike opens. The Demo Day for testing new bikes from the 2016 collections is held in the Nanjing Purple Mountain area. There are cycle routes for both road bikes and MTBs. Each year, the Demo Day is a positioned as a must visit event for trade visitors, pro cyclists and journalists.
First Asia Bike Industry Summit
On 10 October, taking advantage of Asia Bike as a platform for professional bike brands, distributors, dealers and media representatives, the inaugural Asia Bike Industry Summit will aim to bring the industry together to exchange opinions on important issues in the bike industry.
On-trend topics covered include: international brands entering the Chinese market, e-commerce in the bike market, bike travelling, China Sports Bike Industry Report, and more. The Summit takes place on 10 October, the second day of Asia Bike, and is open to trade visitors only.
New Triathlon Village
Mirroring the rapid growth experienced by the running market in recent years, triathlon is becoming more popular and seeing more participants across Asia. With this in mind Asia Bike 2015 has a new village dedicated to triathlon with presentations of triathlon brands and products. Alongside this there will be fitness and VO2 max tests and presentations for promotion and information.
The four-day Asia Bike show is open to trade visitors from Friday 9 October to Monday 12 October. On the last two days (11-12 October), Asia Bike is also open to the public, so locals and cycling enthusiasts can visit the show at the price of RMB 20 per ticket.
