Injinji a sock brand of choice for Western States ultrarunners

Injinji performance toe sock

Injinji, innovator of the patented five-toe-sleeve Performance Toesock for runners and fitness enthusiasts, was recently recognized as the top sock brand of choice among 300-plus participants in the 2015 Western States 100-Mile Endurance Race (WS100).

Among the 94% of WS100 participants who completed the survey, a notable 31.5% of finishers (and 30.0% of sub-24 hours finishers) wore Injinji.

Interestingly enough, reaffirming the leaning toward Injinji by those who specified a brand, the ‘others’ category in the survey arrived at the next largest percentage in the sock category. Here, others comprised 25.2% of all finishers and 28.9% of sub-24 hour finishers.

“We are psyched to learn Injinji had such a huge presence among participants of Western States,” said Jason Battenfield, Injinji Chief Executive Officer. “This is one of the most prestigious races in the country and to have these incredible athletes choose Injinji as their go-to sock for race day is a huge nod to our brand and product.”

The Western States Endurance Race survey is voluntary and offered to participants at check-in. Consisting of ten questions, the survey gathers information on participants ranging from what gear they use on race day to information on their training and racing preferences. The survey is independent and conducted by ultralive.net.
