London Triathlon 2014

Organisers of the London Triathlon, taking place at London’s Docklands on 8-9 August 2015, are pleased to announce that they will be working with the fitness tracking app Endomondo for 2015 to assist participants in their triathlon journey.

Everyone who signs up to this year’s London Triathlon will receive a one year free Endomondo premium membership. In addition, as of 1 May 2015, London Triathlon will be available as a challenge on the platform, enabling users to train like a triathlete and prepare for the multisport fitness challenge ahead.

James Robinson, Managing Director at IMG Challenger World, commented “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Endomondo to the London Triathlon family. We know our triathletes crave wearable fitness technology and the training data it provides, so it’s great to be able to present them with the opportunity to track and analyse their fitness with Endomondo, enabling them to reach their training goals and hopefully their race day goals come August.”

Participants will receive a unique reference number in their confirmation email, which is also their code to redeem their free annual Endomondo premium membership. They can redeem their free premium membership by visiting endomondo.com/premium. The code will be activated 14 days after receiving the confirmation email.

The London Triathlon caters for triathletes of all abilities with a wide variety of distances, including Super Sprint, Sprint, Olympic, Olympic Plus and Team Relay. Each year the London Triathlon sees a diverse field of entrants participate both individually or in support of a wealth of worthy causes.

Entries for all categories are selling fast, so prospective participants are advised to secure their place at thelondontriathlon.com.

Recently acquired by Under Armour, Endomondo has more than 1.1 million registered users in the UK. Used for running, cycling, walking and other endurance activities, the app records route maps, distance, duration and calories to keep a full training log and provide advanced analysis. Featuring many fitness challenges, the option to import workouts from Garmin devices and a wide range of other features, UK users logged an impressive 800,000 workouts in January alone.
