Macquarie Capital is title sponsor of IRONMAN Executive Challenge

IRONMAN and Macquarie Capital, the corporate advisory, principal investing and capital markets arm of Macquarie Group, have announced a title sponsorship agreement with the IRONMAN Executive Challenge (XC) Program.

The Macquarie IRONMAN XC program brings together high-level professionals who are passionate about competing in IRONMAN triathlons. More than 100 top-level executives from a wide range of industries gain annual admission to this highly competitive program.

“Macquarie’s global presence and their broad range of financial service products align perfectly with the diverse industries and corners of the globe that our IRONMAN Executive Challenge athletes represent,” said Troy Ford, Director of IRONMAN Executive Challenge.

“We are proud to sponsor the 2015 Macquarie IRONMAN Executive Challenge,” added Michael Silverton, Head of US and Latin America at Macquarie Capital. “We admire each of these athletes for their determination, strength and commitment, qualities which drive success both in triathlons and in business. We wish all participants luck as they look to beat their personal best.”

The Macquarie IRONMAN XC Program is positioned as the ultimate IRONMAN experience for executive professionals and business leaders. It is a program that provides a one-of-a-kind racing experience for the athletes, while also accommodating their families and guests.

Benefits of the Macquarie IRONMAN XC program include: first-class accommodation, VIP passes for all race week functions and the opportunity to compete for slots to the IRONMAN World Championship or the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.

The first XC event of the 2015 season will be the Accenture IRONMAN 70.3 California triathlon taking place on 28 March in Oceanside, California.
