Judy Amabile, President of Boulder-based insulated water bottle brand Polar Bottle, was selected as the winner of the prestigious Virginia Patterson Business Person of the Year award by the Boulder Chamber. The selection committee applauded Amabile’s role in helping to ‘turn a family business into a global leader in the design and manufacturing of high tech beverage containers, while helping to grow Boulder’s world famous outdoor recreation industry’.
From humble beginnings in a Boulder garage in 1994, Polar Bottle is today recognized as a leader in sustainable consumer goods, with its reusable water bottles sold across the US and in 42 countries worldwide. Beyond the usual business priorities, the company has always emphasized ‘doing the right thing’ – by employees, the environment, customers and the community.
The company supports many local and national organizations in the outdoor, sports and cycling communities, as well as causes that support individuals and families looking to become more healthy and active.
Polar Bottle Marketing Director Liza Milijasevic said “The value Judy places on being accessible, fair and conscious of our local and global impact is a huge part of the success of our company and the appeal of our brands. No-one could be more deserving of this important award.”
Earlier this year, Polar Bottle was named one of the top 50 family-owned companies listed in the February edition of Colorado Biz Magazine.
