Snowdonia Slateman

The Slateman Triathlon powered by Suunto, and produced by Always Aim High Events, is being televised on Channel 4 this Saturday 6 June at 07.05 BST and Ch4+1 at 08.05.

North Wales is the venue for one of the most challenging triathlons on the UK calendar. Taking place across the weekend of 16-17 May, around 1500 athletes faced a multi-terrain course that included brutal climbs, high-speed descents and stunning mountain scenery as the route took them on a tour of Snowdonia and the historic slate quarries of Llanberis.

With a full weekend of events, for the first time the toughest of the athletes were able to take on the sprint and full distance courses to earn the title of ‘Slateman Savage’. This was the first of three events in the Always Aim Tri series, with the Sandman and Snowman events to follow later in the year.
