With most cycling shoes designed to keep feet cool and well ventilated, Scottish apparel specialist Endura notes that a good pair of overshoes is ‘crucial to keep your tootsies toasty on those cold and often wet winter rides.’
Endura has a line-up of overshoes that is aimed at suiting any style of riding, climate and weather. For the autumn/fall and winter season ahead, Endura is giving an overview of its new overshoe styles…
Road
Cool: FS260-Pro Slick Overshoe – packable water protection
This is the star in Endura’s overshoe line-up when it comes to packing size. It’s positioned as the perfect overshoe when you’re not sure about the weather, as riders can slip the pair into a jersey pocket. Made from a waterproof and windproof high stretch PU body fabric with taped centre seam, this overshoe provides weather protection for mild to slightly chilly conditions. An eye wateringly bright high-vis green colourway is now available (white or black are also options).
Cold: Road II Overshoe – insulated waterproof
This Endura classic has received a facelift and directional new graphics. Endura adds that the insulated Road Overshoe II is a best seller as this all-rounder can be worn from autumn through to spring in cold and/or wet weather. Waterproof neoprene fabric with a welded centre seam provides warmth and a snug fit, while the hard wearing base adds to durability. The Neoprene meets and butts behind the heel zip to improve water-tightness.
Colder: Freezing Point Overshoe – insulated winter protection
As the name suggests, this brand new overshoe is designed to keep a rider’s foot temperature regulated when it gets really cold. The Freezing Point Overshoe is made from fleece lined neoprene to trap warmth inside and leave water and wind outside. It closes at the rear with a durable and easy to use zip and Velcro heel tab for a snug fit. The hard wearing Kevlar base and stitching add to the longevity. Reflective logos and rear zip tape are strategically positioned to maximise reflectivity when pedalling.
MTB
MT500 II Overshoe – insulated, durable MTB all-rounder
The MT500 Overshoe has been a stalwart of the Endura range for a long time. For 2015-16, the overhauled MT500 Overshoe II still features a neoprene upper, hard wearing Kevlar sole and stitching, and a moulded rubber toe cap with ridged underside to help when climbing steep and/or muddy slopes. The rear zip, often the Achilles heel of an overshoe, has been upgraded to a much more durable, moulded Vislon version, ‘ensuring smoother action and longer lifespan for an overshoe that sees a lot of mud.’

Gaiter Overshoe – Waterproof Protection for Commuters and E-Bikers
The Gaiter Overshoe is positioned as a ‘go-to’ versatile accessory for commuters and e-bikers. The added length gives a bit of extra protection to stay comfortable when commuting. This gaiter-style bootie with lots of adjustment is suitable for a variety of footwear and cleats, so riders are not limited to cycling shoes. It is made from durable waterproof 3 layer fabric and features a robust 3 layer nylon sole, full length Velcro closure at the rear, and elasticated stirrups. Reflective logos and panels enhance visibility for added safety on the road.
