UK race organiser Always Aim High Events has announced the launch of the Adventure Triathlon Series 2017.
The Adventure Triathlon Series 2017 will feature three unique triathlon events spread across the summer season. Kicking off the series is the Slateman Triathlon in May.
The dates for the Adventure Triathlon Series 2017 are:
- Slateman Triathlon – 20-21 May 2017
- Snowdonia Triathlon Festival – 29-30 July 2017
- Sandman Triathlon – 16t-17 September 2017
The Slateman Triathlon takes place on the weekend of 20-21 May 2017. The action takes place in Llanberis, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, with a cycle that takes in much of the breath-taking scenery (and climbs) that makes the area so special.
The Snowdonia Triathlon Festival is the second event in the Always Aim High 2017 Adventure Triathlon Series. Based at Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre, the triathlon offers a swim and run in the stunning shadows of Tryfan, Siabod, Snowdon and more. The cycle takes in the length and breadth of the Snowdonia National Park, taking in historical landmark towns such as Capel Curig, Beddgelert, Betws y Coed, Llanrwst and more.
The Adventure Triathlon Series is rounded with the Sandman Triathlon. This end of season favourite is based at the blue flag beaches of Newborough and Llanddwyn on Anglesey and features a swim in the clear, warm waters surrounding them. The triathlon is rounded off with a sandy trail run through Newborough forest.
Registration for the Adventure Triathlon Series 2017 opens on Wednesday 6 July and signing up means athletes get one of the three events at half price, less than £35. Participants also get a limited edition Adventure Triathlon Series finishers t-shirt.
