Aqua Sphere’s new Spring/Summer 2017 collection aims to have something for every active fitness swimmer. Available in four customer groupings to ‘make style selection easier than ever’ (Classic Lap Swimmer, Contemporary Lap Swimmer, Water Exerciser and Adventure Swimmer) each collection combines the latest fabric technologies with a focus on fit.
Aqua Sphere focuses on the different needs of active swimmers with ‘a wide choice of high performance swimwear with different backs, leg lengths and body coverage and a choice of features such as integral support panels and bust linings.’ Piping and stitch details are combined with high fashion colour panels and mesh inserts and the season design ‘glows with satin-look gold and silver metallics and pops of pink, blue and green’.
For men there are now more Jammers available to meet male swimmers’ needs and new on-trend Mississippi swim shorts with a 40cm leg in seasonal shades. The new Kids range is also clearly segmented for easier buying, with updated Stingray UV protective swimsuits for the younger swimmers and an expanded range of swimsuits from ages 2 to 16; and there is an extended teen range, which echoes many of the technical design features of the adult range such as chlorine resistant fabrics and cross over open backs.
Key styles for women include the LITA one piece, now available in black with gold panels. LITA is made in VITA fabric, a recycled material which is ‘smooth, fine and super soft to touch but has outstanding strength’. Aqua Sphere adds that VITA combines muscle control with body-hugging stretch and shape retention and has long lasting ultra-high chlorine resistance, UV protection and high resistance to sun cream and oil.
Also in VITA fabric, the NANCY and CINDY items in bright pink and black are available in a wide range of sizes.
New fabric technology
Aqua Sphere is committed to supporting the global environment in its product development and Repreve is an innovative eco-friendly fibre made from recycled bottles. Once transformed into swimwear, it delivers ‘superior chlorine resistance for long lasting performance in addition to its compelling environmental message’.
New women’s one pieces manufactured in Repreve include GIANNA which has an open back and high fashion colour inserts. Repreve is also available in mens briefs, shorts and jammers, a girls’ one piece and boys’ shorts. All garments manufactured in Repreve will carry informative swing tags stating how many recycled bottles were used to create the product and, according to Aqua Sphere, this is sure to attract customer discussion.
Another new technology is CHINE, billed as a ‘pioneering new development in swimwear fabric and its heather look is highly in vogue’. CHINE fabric is soft and comfortable but is made from chlorine resistant Xtra Life Lycra so it boasts shape recovery, body shaping and muscle support.
Committed to retaining competitive price points whilst delivering the highest quality styling and construction, Aqua Sphere adds that its product capability is robust and includes a wide choice of styles for women, men and children ‘which are sure to enhance any swimwear display’.
