Taking place against the backdrop of Blenheim Palace estate in Oxfordshire, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, the Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon is seen as a traditional season opener and ‘second-biggest event in the UK’.
The event, which took place on 4-5 June 2016, airs on mainstream UK TV on Saturday 18 June. Channel 4 television will screen a special Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon show at 07:00 GMT and on Ch4+1 at 08:00.
Produced by Dream Team TV for event organizer IMG Mass Participation Sports, the show will spotlight the thousands of enthusiasts and celebrities enjoying the scenic and historic course. The elite race features reigning Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee in his build up to Rio 2016, and the current European Triathlon Champion, India Lee, attempting to defend her title in the women’s race.
