The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) have announced a strategic partnership to support and expand the Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon and the Columbia Triathlon & Duathlon beginning in 2017.
As part of the deal, CSE will lead the organization and execution of the two races and Ulman Cancer Fund will continue to benefit from funds raised to impact the lives of young adults and their loved ones impacted by cancer.
The Columbia Triathlon is currently scheduled for 21 May 2017 and the Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon will be held on 20 August 2017. Both events kick off at Centennial Park in Ellicott City, Maryland.
Ulman Cancer Fund has enjoyed a strong relationship with CSE for more than 10 years, working together on the organization’s fundraising platforms. The new partnership is aimed at ‘expanding participation in the races, position them as world-class events and continuing the great sports tradition within the region.’

For more than 34 years, the Columbia Triathlon has attracted athletes from across the United States and around the world to Howard County to compete in the acclaimed Olympic distance race. The Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon is a premier women’s event and billed as the largest endurance race of its kind. The popular sprint distance race recently marked its 11th year with more than 1800 participants.
