Taking place on Sunday 4 September, the Dock2Dock London Swim is a 10K open water swim race in the city of London. Organised by Lovesportsevents, this challenge can be taken on as an individual or in relay teams of 3 or 5 people.

As the organisers point out, ‘This is not for the faint-hearted, working towards a training plan is an important part of the challenge!’

The race will start at the Royal Victoria Dock, taking swimmers through the Royal Albert Dock, finally into the King George V Dock and the finish line. The organisers add that this is the first time a 10K swim event has incorporated all three of these stunning locations.

The event is run by Lovesportsevents and safety and oversight is provided by NOWCA (National Open Water Coaching Association). Head of NOWCA Rick Kiddle (a former British Triathlon Champion) has been instrumental in setting up the event.

Kiddle said “It’s the beating heart of the city, a vibrant and iconic location. Combined with the challenge and fun of open water swimming, the amazing backdrop of the docks will give competitors a truly unique experience. A huge tick on any swimmer’s bucket list.”
