Events.com powers online registration for 2016 DC Bike Ride

DC Bike Ride

DC Bike Ride, a scenic urban bicycle ride celebrating the people, places and culture of Washington DC, has selected Events.com to provide online registration services for the inaugural event taking place on 22 May 2016.

The recreational ride offers a unique car-free tour of the US nation’s capital. Riders will cruise past some of the most iconic sites taking in everything from the Washington Monument to the White House and the John F Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Participants will conclude their journey with a post-ride celebration near the United States Capitol.

“Events.com offers simple-yet-sophisticated, mobile-friendly software that has a savvy interface and is easy to use,” said Chief Executive Officer, Greg Bibb at event organiser Capital Sports Ventures. “Events.com is bridging the gap between event organizers and event participants and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Events.com for the inaugural DC Bike Ride.”

“The Events.com mission is to connect people with experiences they love,” said Steve Mazza, Director of US Sales at Events.com. “The DC Bike Ride will be the biggest biking event DC has ever seen and we are thrilled to handle the online registration for this exciting event.”

Founded in 2016 by Capital Sports Ventures, DC Bike Ride (DCBR) is positioned as the Washington DC region’s premier recreational cycling event. Held annually in May during National Bike Month, the event celebrates the people, places and culture of Washington DC, while providing car-free access to some of Washington’s most iconic sites.

A portion of the proceeds from the event benefit Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) in its efforts to support street safety programs. Current event entry pricing starts at US$60.
