Leanda Cave, the four-time world champion triathlete, has launched Leanda Cave Coaching Services. As the new coaching venture gets into gear, Cave and her team of experienced professional coaches will ‘share their knowledge, expertise and experience to help athletes reach their personal best.’
“Triathlon has been my professional life for the past 15 years; my experience and success has enabled me to claim four world titles – one in each distance,” said Cave. “I have a wealth of knowledge about triathlon and what it takes to be the best athlete. Through coaching, I can share this knowledge and give back to a sport that has given me so much.”
Aimed at triathletes of all levels, Leanda Cave Coaching Services has a coaching option to suit age-groupers and professionals. The new coaching firm will offer three levels of online coaching: Gold, Diamond and Platinum. Cave uses the Training Peaks platform to provide all athletes with the opportunity to be coached by Cave and/or one of her trusted partners.
The Gold Coaching Package includes static training plans created by Cave for sprint distance all the way up to IRONMAN triathlon distances. The program utilizes Cave’s 20-plus years of experience to guide athletes to their next racing goal. The Gold Coaching Package will change each year and will incorporate ‘Key LC Workouts’ as well as ‘other sound training methodology’.
The Diamond Coaching Package is billed as a comprehensive 12-month coaching experience like no other. Cave will guide athletes through a year of training and racing via a personalized training plan that is tailored to each athletes’ needs. This exclusive program has limited space to ensure Cave delivers the highest level of attention and service to each individual athlete.
The Platinum Package is an online and phone based coaching program for performance oriented clients looking to participate in triathlon events and/or have specific athletic goals. All coaches are hand-picked and approved by Cave to give the highest level of service. A variety of ‘Key LC Workouts’ are the backbone of this coaching experience.
“There is no magic wand to becoming the best you can be,” continued Cave. “It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but most of all, the right guidance. This is what I strive to deliver with tailored training plans for individual needs.”
Leanda Cave has been competing in triathlons since 1994. She began her triathlon career at the Olympic distance and gradually made her way to dominating long course triathlon. In 2001, Leanda became European Under-23 champion. A year later she broke through at the international level, winning silver at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. She won another silver medal at the European Championships, then had greater success when she took the gold and the world title in Cancun, Mexico, in November 2002.
In 2002 and 2012, Leanda was nominated for the Welsh Sports Personality of the Year Award. In 2012, Leanda won both the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships and IRONMAN World Championships. She became the first female triathlete in history to accomplish both feats in a single year. That same year Leanda was also named as one of the ‘World’s Fittest Women’ by CNN. This is quite a recognition as 2012 was also an Olympic year.
