Professional Swedish triathlete Lisa Nordén has confirmed her start at Challenge Aruba, the Challenge Family’s latest addition to the Challenge brand’s global series of long distance triathlons.
Nordén’s accomplishments include Swedish Champion of the year 2008, U23 World Champion of the year 2007, Sprint World Champion of the year 2010, vice World Champion (World Championship Series) in 2009, bronze medallist at the World Championship Series of the years 2008 and 2010, and bronze medallist at the European Championships 2010. Nordén took the silver medal in triathlon at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She was credited with the same time (1:59.48) as gold medallist Nicola Spirig, but was edged out in a photo finish. In 2012, she also won the Triathlon World Series.
Set over the half distance, Challenge Aruba will take place on 23 October 2016 on the ‘Happy Island’ of Aruba with its crystal clear blue waters, pearly white beaches and balmy Caribbean climate – billed as the perfect combination for a race in paradise!
