The third edition of Run In Marseille takes place on 20 March. The organizing team at A.S.O note that more than 10,000 competitors – including one thousand marathon runners, twice as many as in 2015 – have confirmed their registration for one of the three events on race day.
Run In Marseille encompasses a marathon, half-marathon and 10K. With increasing numbers, particularly over the longer distance, A.S.O adds that Run In Marseille is ‘becoming the race of reference on the Mediterranean Coast.’
Later this month, whether on the Avenue du Prado, at Parc Borély, on the Cannebière or the Corniche, many of the key sites of Marseille will be visited by the runners. The marathon runners are especially pampered, with starter’s orders given from the coves of the Calanques, at Les Goudes to be precise, a small traditional port visited by many tourists each year.
