Backed by F1 Racing Driver and passionate triathlete Jenson Button, the Ichiban Triathlon Team is an endurance racing team with a variety of athletes on board from all around the world. The amateur triathlon team carries the Japanese name ‘Ichiban’ (‘Number One’) and races at key long distance triathlon events to ‘promote friendship, health and wellness’ amongst its members and fans.
Bags and accessories specialist SCICON is a sponsor of the Ichiban Triathlon Team and has presented the latest Ichiban collection of cycling clothing powered by sister brand Ftech and a selection of SCICON bike bags. The Ichiban cycling clothing line consists of ‘race proven team kit made from a selection of finest materials, hand-made in Italy’.
SCICON notes that the Ichiban bibshorts all feature industry leading Elastic Interface seat pads, providing the Ichiban team with performance and comfort. Positioned as a versatile choice for warm and cold conditions – or wet weather, the apparel utilises Aero Stretch Mesh fabric in ‘all the right places for maximum breathability’. The Ichiban Triathlon Team jersey comes in two colourways – black and white.
The Ichiban team members protect their bikes with the Scicon AeroComfort Triathlon and AeroComfort 2.0 TSA bike bags. The company adds that these are lightweight, protective and easy-to-pack and unpack. The Ichiban team edition AeroComfort bike bags are exactly the same as the regular editions, just with a custom design.
A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the Ichiban collection will be donated to the Jenson Button Trust, helping charitable causes and campaigns. The Ichiban kit will be available for pre-order from 11 October until 25 October exclusively at sciconbags.com. The team edition Scicon bike bags and rain bags are available to purchase for immediate shipping.
