SCOTT Sports India, the Indian arm of the globally recognized multisport company SCOTT Sports, has launched its first ever Head to Toe riding gear range. SCOTT’s new ‘Head to Toe’ concept comprises gloves, helmets, cycling apparel, eyewear and cycling specific shoes for biking enthusiasts with a focus on ‘Make In India’.
The key highlight of the ‘Head to Toe’ riding gear range is as ‘an exclusive range of cycling apparel’ with a focus on Make In India – as the fabric and padding is imported from Italy and manufactured in India with a focus on fit for Indian body types. The cycling apparel comprises jerseys, padded bib shorts and shorts.
The cycling specific jerseys are made of technical fabric aided to keep cyclists comfortable during all their rides and feature a silicone gripper on the waist for an optimum fit, along with back pockets to store essentials. Cycling specific padded bib shorts and shorts feature an anatomic padding.
SCOTT Sports India’s Head to Toe riding gear range is aimed at completing a cyclist’s SCOTT riding experience. SCOTT is aiming to become a one stop shop for consumers to find all products required to fulfil all their cycling needs. SCOTT endeavours to ensure that when a consumer buys a SCOTT bike, under the same roof he or she can also club together riding gear with it and buy a ‘comprehensive package for a completely new cycling experience’.
After extensive research and development, three varieties of helmets with a focus on varying demands of protection have been launched. While the offerings do start with a basic range, the MIPS brain protection system, Halo 3D fit system, enhanced ventilation and a removable visor are positioned as vital features of the two higher ranges. The MIPS with SCOTT AIR Technology specifically enhances breathability and cooling – ‘cooler than not wearing a helmet’, and is exclusive to the premium range, which is primed for the ‘most demanding pro peloton riders, cross country racers and elite triathletes’.
The SCOTT short finger gloves are billed as a must have in every cyclist’s bag – with a focus on fit, reduced shock and vibration. SCOTT Cycling Shoes aim to offer great fit and high performance, ‘perfect for discerning enthusiasts and recreational riders alike’. The shoes’ adaptive fit pattern features a wrap canopy with Velcro adjustable d-ring positioning and two lower direct mount anatomic fit straps, which can articulate to adapt to the shape of the foot. Meanwhile, SCOTT sunglasses are ‘your best bet with superlative protection, secure grip, and a sharp look’.
