The 2016 Reebok Spartan Race European Championship is headed to Edinburgh, Scotland, on 24 July 2016. Elite obstacle course racers will compete for a £12,000 prize pool and non-elites will have ‘a chance to race amongst the best of the best Spartans from all over Europe’.
To compete for the £12,000 prize pool participants must have placed top 10 in the Elite heat (between 7 September 2015 and 23 July 2016). Elites who have qualified will receive an email with registration instructions.
All participating athletes are advised to make a weekend out of the European Championship event. The venue is only 30 minutes from Edinburgh City Centre, so athletes can ‘take in the Scottish farmland and enjoy local city attractions and sightseeing.’
