A release from Telegraph Events cites a record 52,514 sport & leisure enthusiasts from across the UK who gathered at London’s ExCeL from 11-14 February to visit ‘the UK’s largest triathlon show’. The Triathlon Show: London event joined The London Bike Show, The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show and – for the first time – The London International Dive Show. Combined, the shows this year enjoyed a 4.5% increase in visitor numbers on 2015.

Catering for triathletes of all abilities, the event ‘showcased top brands, provided expert training assessments, the opportunity to meet world class consultants from The Lister Hospital, wetsuit testing and welcomed some of the biggest names in the sport.’

Exhibitors & brands at the show included Zone3, High5, Brooks, Alton Sports, Mailsports, HUUB, and many more.

Jake Presley from Zone3 commented “The Zone3 staff, brand ambassadors and customers all gave great feedback from the show. The Telegraph Events team put on a great event and worked tirelessly to help us show off Zone3 as much as possible. As official wetsuit partners we fully utilised the Swim Zone which was a resounding success – with over a hundred customers entering the pool in our high performance wetsuits. Overall a successful weekend for all involved!”

The show offered visitors an opportunity to meet and hear from a line-up of experts in the Tri Experts Theatre, in association with sponsor partners High5 Sports Nutrition and Triathlonguard, helping them prepare for their next event and to improve their technique. Guests included Nina Anderson, Amy Kilpin and Bob De Wolf.

Raph Deinhart from theatre sponsor High5 commented “The show provides us with a great platform to promote High5 to both triathletes and cyclists at the start of the season. The Telegraph Events team have created a well-organised and quality show that offers something to all visitors including expert advice, races and demos. We’re looking forward to being involved again in 2017.”

New for 2016, the Triathlon Events Village introduced visitors to a number of different event organisers, including My Challenge HQ, Tri-Adventure and The Fix Events, helping visitors to find their ideal event, triathlon or long distance challenges in the UK or abroad.

Meanwhile, show sponsor, Honda, gave visitors a chance to see its new range of cars, including the Civic Tourer Active Life Concept, HR-V, Jazz, CR-V, Civic Tourer, hatchback and Type R models. Guests could take their choice of car for a test drive whilst the younger family members could enjoy the ‘My First Honda Licence’ test track and ride a 50cc motorcycle.
