HITS Endurance is adding another New York event to its race calendar – with a new HITS Triathlon Series event taking place Hudson Valley at Williams Lake, on 9 July 2016 in Rosendale, New York.
Athletes will have the opportunity to race five different distances, including the Open, Sprint, Olympic, Half and Full, all in one day. The HITS Hudson Valley course features an athlete-friendly swim in the spring-fed Williams Lake, a bike course around the Ashokan Reservoir, and a run through the heart of Ulster County on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail.
“We are looking forward to introducing HITS Hudson Valley to both locals and athletes in the metro-New York region. We have incorporated five distances so the race will accommodate and challenge athletes of all levels,” said HITS Endurance President and CEO Tom Struzzieri.
The community of Rosendale is reportedly excited to be hosting the event and ‘looks forward to welcoming athletes and spectators’. Athletes are encouraged to make a weekend of the race and explore all that the Hudson Valley has to offer.
The 2016 event is made possible in cooperation with the ‘management of Williams Lake Project and with the support of countless volunteers, as well as emergency medical and law enforcement personnel.’
Registration for HITS Hudson Valley is now open.
