Tri Liverpool, the city centre triathlon event from national governing body British Triathlon, returned for a fourth year in Liverpool on Sunday 14 August 2016. And, thanks to the continued UK television broadcast partnership between Channel 4 and production firm Dream Team TV, Tri Liverpool will air on Channel 4 this Saturday 27 August at 06:30 GMT and Ch4+1 at 07.30.
Presented by Jason Bradbury and Michelle Dillon, the Tri Liverpool TV show will spotlight how the event hosted the national triathlon championships for elite athletes and age-group competitors, while Britain’s medal contenders for the Rio Paralympics took on their final races on home soil before heading to Brazil for the games. Celebrity competitors and first-timers also took part in the mass-participation event.
Tri Liverpool has gained recognition for its urban city-centre course that caters for a diverse range of entrants. From complete beginners to those looking to qualify for the Great Britain Age-Group Team, competitors complete the same course as the elites.
