Verve Cycling, the designer and manufacturer of the InfoCrank range of power meter products, is commencing distribution of the InfoCrank in North America in partnership with the Endurance Sports Group (ESG) of Tucson, Arizona.
Since the InfoCrank was released for sale globally, it has built momentum. Billed by Verve Cycling as ‘the most true and precise power device ever developed’, the power meter has been boosted by partnerships with British Cycling and Team GB, as well as the UCI World Cycling Centre.
“We were searching for a partner in the USA who understood the cycling culture here while having the same commitment to truth in numbers that Verve has. With ESG we have finally found one,” explained Bryan Taylor, President of Verve Cycling.
Matt Pobloske, Managing Director at ESG said, “We have a broad background in precision measurement and sensing and were impressed the very first time we saw the InfoCrank’s data and performance attributes. Our road trials over the early part of 2016 and the professionalism of the Verve company gave us the foundation that we needed to take this step.
“We are committed to making the InfoCrank, available to the North American cycling and triathlon communities, along with incredible customer support.”
Serious performance improvement
The InfoCrank is billed as ‘a game changer for the racing and amateur cyclist who wishes to improve’.
“For the first time, at an affordable price, the rider can now have the right number on their screen each and every pedal stroke,” continued Verve’s Bryan Taylor. “What the rider feels in the legs and sees on the road is represented correctly on their screen. Paul Thomas of ESG will be heading up sales and marketing of InfoCrank in the US and Canada. Verve Cycling had already established its global Customer Service division in the USA and has distributed the InfoCrank through its online store and through a small number of affiliates and coaches, as well as local bike stores. This will continue but be expanded over the coming year.
Verve also supports individual athletes in the USA, including Olympic triathlete, Ben Kanute, and has been a long term supporter of elite women’s cycling with a supply of InfoCranks to Team TIBCO – SVB.
