Diamondback Bicycles has confirmed the addition of world champion professional triathlete, Jordan Rapp to its team. Rapp joins Michael Weiss, Ben Collins, Rachel McBride and Matt Russell on the growing Diamondback triathlete team.

Rapp, a California-based professional triathlete, has been competing for over a decade and has a number of notable race results including a win at the 2011 ITU Long Distance World Championships and six IRONMAN race wins. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer for slowtwitch.com and a featured columnist for LAVA magazine.

“Jordan is one of the most well-respected athletes and influencers in the sport of triathlon,” said Steve Westover, Marketing Director at Diamondback. “We’re thrilled to have him on our team as an ambassador and a content provider.”

Rapp will be competing in a mix of full-distance and 70.3 IRONMAN races this year and will be riding the new Diamondback Andean superbike. Additionally, he will be acting as a field engineer and ‘the authority on triathlon specific content for the website and social media channels, covering topics like equipment and training’.

Born in Camarillo, California, in 1978 and today based in Kent, Washington, Diamondback designs and builds performance bicycles ‘for every rider at every level’. With roots in the BMX world, and ongoing innovations in road, triathlon and full-suspension MTB technologies, Diamondback aims to build a legacy of quality, service and community.
