Following review by 45 judges from 13 countries and two continents, the ISPO Seal of Quality jury has recognized CamelBak as a winner in the hydration category for its invention of the Quick Stow Chill Soft Flask.
Extensive testing by the company found that current products were ‘too soft or limp to be carried easily even when full, but athletes still needed to store them away or pack them flat when they were empty’. With this in mind CamelBak created two products to solve these issues: an insulated version, Quick Stow Chill Flask, and a non-insulated version, Quick Stow Flask. Both hold up to 0.5 litres of water and feature the sturdy and leak-proof polyurethane reservoir material CamelBak uses for its reservoirs.
Quick Stow Chill Flask integrates a layer of Chill foam, found in the brand’s popular Podium collection, between two layers of polyurethane reservoir material. This insulation keeps water colder a claimed two-times longer than a non-insulated flask, and also adds body to the flask making it easier to carry, while still remaining packable, and easy to store when empty. The Chill foam is sealed inside by a radio frequency (RF) weld, bonding the two layers of polyurethane around it.
“Since its launch late last year, we’ve quickly realized the beauty of Quick Stow is its application in many different sports,” explained Jon Austin, Senior Director of Product Management at CamelBak. “The Quick Stow Chill has been a great addition to the CamelBak run line, while also being a great accessory on the bike to keep hydration in a jersey pocket, or in your ski jacket to stay hydrated on the slopes.”
