Produced by the team behind the Castle Triathlon Series, the Pop-Up City Triathlon will take place in Montgomery Square, Canary Wharf, London, for four days this spring – inviting corporate teams of three to give it a ‘tri’ and test their mettle in a staged static triathlon.
Taking place from Monday 24 April to Thursday 27 April 2017, the staged event will welcome 100 teams to take-part in a large-scale static triathlon competing for the best distance over a given time (3 min swim in an endless pool, 4 minutes on a cycle ergometer and a 3 minute run on a treadmill). The teams made up of three will compete in one discipline each and represent the same company.
Credit Suisse was the winning team in 2016 with an overall distance of 4,640 metres. 2016 participants also included: KPMG, HSBC, Bank of America, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Citi Bank, Santander, Clifford Chance to name a few.
Each team will be allocated a fifteen-minute slot between 12.00 – 14:30 GMT or 17:30 – 20:00. The top rating five teams will make the final, hosted on Thursday 27 April at 18:00. The racing takes place at Montgomery Square, Canary Wharf (next to Clifford Chance). Entries are open to corporate teams and triathlon clubs.
The winning team scoops £1,000 for the teams’ charity of choice, plus each winning team member will receive:

There will be four runner-up teams, and each team member will receive:

- Free race place at any Castle Triathlon Series event/distance
All entry fee proceeds (£250 per team) will go directly to the Castle Triathlon Series Official Charity Partner, Macmillan Cancer Support.
