Challenge Family has presented a new partnership, as the international series confirms that it is joining forces with Spanish apparel specialist Taymory. The event organiser notes that Taymory is a leading triathlon sports brand, providing quality apparel for swimming, cycling and running, sold in 35 countries around the world – and is now on board as Challenge Family’s official licensee for sport performance wear in Europe.
The partnership between Challenge Family and Taymory extends for three years. The collaboration applies to the following product categories: tri suits, cycling shorts, cycling jerseys, running shorts, running shirts, visors and socks. The Taymory Challenge Family collection will be sold through the Challenge fan shop, Taymory fan shop and at many of the European Challenge Family events.
“Challenge Family is proud to enter into a merchandise partnership with Taymory, known for quality, athletes’ orientation and excellent company culture,” said Zibi Szlufcik, CEO at Challenge Family. “The brand’s history from inside the triathlon sport, dedication to detail and active participation connect Challenge Family and Taymory and the relationship is a natural fit.”
Carlos Mir, Marketing Director at Taymory, added “We are very happy to produce the official merchandise of Challenge Family in all the European races. We are a brand born by triathletes and made for triathletes, so with this partnership we will join our passion for this sport with a smart collection that satisfies the real needs of the triathletes for training and racing.”
Mir continued, “We have developed elegant garments made in Barcelona with high quality, so we aim to see our collection everywhere and introduce our brand in markets where we still don’t have a huge penetration. Although we have distribution in 35 countries worldwide, we see a high potential in Europe, so this partnership is a great opportunity for us to bring Taymory and Challenge Family closer to triathletes.”
The Taymory brand was created in Barcelona in 2011 by Omar Tayara, Olympic triathlete in Beijing 2008, and Javier Lozano. With experience in the textile sector, the brands aimed at ‘creating a fresh and original brand made by and for athletes’. The brand is active in 35 countries – and its presence goes from the retail sector through to tailored apparel for athletes, teams and companies.
Challenge Family is billed as ‘the fast growing global long distance triathlon series’, now with 43 full, middle and Olympic distance triathlons in 26 countries. The company notes that it is changing the face of long distance racing around the world… ‘Featuring spectacular courses in iconic destinations Challenge Family events focus on delivering the race of a lifetime to athletes of all ages and abilities, and creating a memorable spectator experience that captures all the excitement and emotion of this inspirational sport.’
