Continuing its growth momentum in South America, TOUGHMMAN Enterprises has unveiled a new event, TOUGHMAN Chile Iquique – which will take place in Iquique, Chile, on August 15th, 2019. The race weekend will be run by TriAthletas.CL under the direction of Juan Carlos Olavarria.

According to TOUGHMAN series owner Richard Izzo, “In 2019, having one of the largest race organizations in South America partnered with the TOUGHMAN brand makes the quality of the four TOUGHMAN Chile races on par with any [event] brand. The South America TOUGHMAN races in Futrono, Arica, Quillon and now Iquique will form the South American circuit – with a Championship in Arica in June 2019; and [this will] qualify athletes to the TOUGHMAN World Championship on September 15th, 2019.”

The TOUGHMAN Series currently consists of 15 races in the US and South America, with current events including: Cambridge, Ohio; Iquique, Chile; Futrono, Chile; Paulinia, Brazil; San Pedro, Argentina; Arica, Chile; Quillon, Chile; Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; and further stateside events in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Park City, Utah, Columbia, South Carolina and Lenoir City, Tennessee.

The TOUGHMAN Series Championship in Stony Point New York, 20 miles north of New York City, offers over US$30,000 in age-group awards, a US$4,950 cash purse (top 5) for qualifiers, a scenic bike course, and over 1,400 race support volunteers.
