The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series has announced Humana, a leading health and well-being company, as a title sponsor of six Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series events and as a series-wide partner for 2018. In addition, Humana will title the 2018 Iron Girl Clearwater Half Marathon & 5K, which is also part of the IRONMAN portfolio of events.
Following IRONMAN’s acquisition of Competitor Group Holdings in 2017, and with it the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series, the run series has formed part of the IRONMAN and Wanda Sports portfolio.
As part of the sponsorship, brand ambassador Kathrine Switzer – the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967 – will be alongside hundreds of Humana associates to support and inspire runners, walkers and volunteers to take charge of their health.
Humana will have a branded mile on course as well as an interactive footprint at the following events:

- Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Raleigh Half Marathon – April 7-8, 2018
- Humana Iron Girl Clearwater – April 8, 2018
- Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon – July 21-22, 2018
- Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon. – September 1-2, 2018
- Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah Marathon & ½ Marathon – November 3-4, 2018
- Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon & ½ Marathon – December 1-2, 2018

Starting with an interactive Health & Fitness Expo, that is free and open to all, the participant experience at a Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series event weekend is extensive.
From the start-line production to the non-stop enthusiasm, incorporating more music, entertainment, cheering spectators and runner support, ‘every participant feels like a winner on race day’. The weekend concludes with a finish line festival and concert performance by musical artists, with past headliners like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Aloe Blacc, Pitbull, FloRida and Bret Michaels.
