The bidding process for inclusion in the major events of the 2020 Triathlon Ireland calendar is now open. National governing body, Triathlon Ireland is now taking bids for the 2020 BMW Triathlon and Duathlon National Series, the National Championships events and the Post Primary Schools Championship.
The bidding process opened on September 26th, and the closing date for applications is 09:00 GMT on Monday, 21st October.
Organisers will be informed of the outcome of the process on 22nd November; and the Triathlon Ireland major events calendar will be released by the week ending 1st December.

Bid process
Event organisers should ensure that the applicable race meets all requirements of the relevant bid document before bidding. Bid submissions must be made electronically online.
Safeguarding
All races are open to juniors (under 18s) and therefore must comply with the Children First legislation in the Republic of Ireland. Race organisers in Northern Ireland who are in clubs with no junior section or are a commercial entity will just need to complete a risk assessment.
