Final Surge named as Official Training Platform of Tinman Elite pro run team

Final Surge has partnered with professional running team Tinman Elite to be its official training and coaching platform for the 2019 season. Coach Tom ‘Tinman’ Schwartz formed the team in 2017 with the goal of becoming one of the top running teams in the world, competing for spots to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Coach Tom Schwartz added, “Final Surge has made planning workouts and communicating with my athletes easier and more effective. I use it as an effective communication tool with all levels of runners; from beginners to world record holders. In my opinion it’s the best training platform for our team and my athletes.”

So far, the Tinman Elite team has been making headlines by winning multiple national championships in a short amount of time. In the span of one week, the runners from the Tinman Elite team won three national titles. Sam Parsons won the 3,000m race in Germany’s Indoor National Championships; Jordan Gusman won the Australian National 5000m Championship; and, Drew Hunter capped off the week by capturing the USATF Indoor Championship 2-mile race from the “B” heat in 8:25.

On December 2nd, Brogan Austin, also coached by Tom Schwartz won the US Marathon Championships in Sacramento in 2:12:39. Last weekend, Brogan won the Road to Gold 8-mile road race in Atlanta. The event served as a rehearsal for 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifiers competing on the same course.

“This team obviously has something special going on right now,” said Final Surge Co-Founder Tim Surface. “They are producing some amazing results, and we’re thrilled to able to help aid their Olympic dreams. We’ve been working closely with Coach Tom for many years now, and it’s exciting to partner with Tinman Elite and support the next generation of distance runners and everything both Tom and his athletes bring to our sport.”

The Tinman Elite roster currently includes Drew Hunter (2nd ranked 1500m runner in the USA in 2018) who set the national high school indoor mile record in 2016 and was the Gatorade National Cross-Country Runner of year while in high school, and as a pro has run in multiple US Championship events, winning his first national title this year.
