This past weekend, thousands of athletes took part in IRONMAN events in various locations in the United States. On Saturday, May 11, IRONMAN 70.3 Gulf Coast made its return to Panama City Beach, Florida, following the event’s sudden relocation to Haines City, Florida, in 2018 after Hurricane Michael’s impact on the area.
Nearly 2,000 athletes representing 31 countries, regions and territories and 48 states took on the IRONMAN 70.3 event that offered a athletes the chance to race along Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast.
On the same day, IRONMAN Santa Rosa saw nearly 2,000 athletes representing 49 countries, regions and territories and 44 US states take on the early-season race in Northern California. This featured a course that took athletes into the world-famous wine regions of the Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River valleys, as well as the communities of Windsor, Geyersville, and Gealdsburg.
