The RGT Cycling and RGT Screen apps for virtual cycle training have received a number of updates. These include Bluetooth scanning and connectivity improvements. The RGT team (formerly Road Grand Tours) lists the following app updates:
- Communication issues between the RGT Screen app and Mobile app have been addressed and fixed
- Improved connectivity and stability issues
- Pin code Screen issues fixed
- Improved Bluetooth scanning and stability
- UI fixes and improvements
- The app can now communicate with other devices even when it is working from the background
- Events and Challenges modes are currently disabled
- Reworked and further optimized some roads on the RGT Screen app
- Improved avatar movement on steep incline when low power applied
- Improved avatar trajectory on Borrego course and before end of lap
The RGT Cycling brand was re-launched in April with a new identity and approach. This aims to ‘bring the excitement and fun of virtual cycling into the real world whilst retaining the same ground breath-taking beauty on offer from the free rides, group rides and races that take place daily.’
RGT is using the hashtag #GOBEYOND. This is a ‘summary of attitude and personality, a mantra to inspire; to keep pushing forward, always evolving, pushing boundaries, never satisfied that the journey is complete.’
