According to a report in Bloomberg, Wanda Sports group is considering a sale of IRONMAN. Bloomberg added that ‘Wanda Sports is seeking to fetch about $1 billion for the triathlon business.’
The Bloomberg report also cites recent attempts by the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) to buy IRONMAN. PTO has issued a number of open letters to IRONMAN, which it has chosen to publish online. The most recent of these was earlier this month. PTO’s original bid to buy IRONMAN was turned down back in October 2019.
