Cancellation of IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant

The 2020 IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant triathlon, originally scheduled for August 23, has been cancelled – as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on mass participation event organisers’ plans across the globe.

IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec, Canada, has been a mainstay event in North America for a number of years. The race originally took place on August 19, 2012.

The IRONMAN team has issued a statement confirming that this year’s event will now take place in August 2021…

‘We appreciate the continued patience and understanding of our athletes while we have worked diligently with various host city partners to determine potential options for the 2020 IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant triathlon originally scheduled for August 23. After assessing all event scenarios, it has been determined that the IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant triathlon cannot take place in 2020 and will return on August 22, 2021.

‘All registered athletes of the 2020 IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant triathlon will be receiving an email with further information. We thank our athletes for their commitment and look forward to providing them with an exceptional race experience in the future.
