Taking place in December 2020, the second ESSNawards have been launched by ESSNA, the European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance.
Last year, over 100 attendees, from 15 different countries across the world, came together to celebrate 12 award winners – with over 40 other sports nutrition brands also entering into the awards. This year, the ceremony will take place at a new venue and location: ‘a global epicentre of prestigious sporting events, the Stade de France.’
Delivered by the Whitehouse Consultancy in partnership with ESSNA – the ESSNawards give brands, organisations and ambassadors in the sports nutrition industry an opportunity to gain recognition for their impressive contributions to the sector.
This year, four new categories have been added, including best protein bar, best energy drink and sports nutrition in lockdown, as well as a new cohort of judges, competitions and sponsors.
Adam Carey, Chair of ESSNA, said “We are delighted that the ESSNawards will be back for a second year, following a fantastic event in December. Now more than ever, it is important for the sports nutrition industry to gather together to celebrate the thriving sports nutrition sector and the incredible work being done by so many organisations in the face of adversity this year.”
Chris Whitehouse, Chair of the Whitehouse Consultancy, said “The Whitehouse Consultancy is proud to deliver the ESSNawards for a second year running. This year, we have secured a new venue, with several more categories and prominent industry experts on the judging panel, we expect the ESSNawards to be bigger and better, now a permanent fixture in the sports nutrition calendar.”
Given the ongoing pandemic and its implications on large events and travel, ESSNA will make a decision regarding whether the awards are to be held as a virtual event in July.
