PROJECT5K is a new 28-day program for all runners to prepare and complete a virtual 5k. It is an initiative from Endurance Nation, a company focused on helping athletes be their personal best for any event, and Final Surge, the online training platform for athletes, coaches, teams and clubs.
PROJECT5K is the first publicly available training plan from Endurance Nation to be combined with a Final Surge Virtual Race. After more than two years of collaboration and innovation the project hopes to be a significant step forward for both brands.
“Current events have turned millions of people into walkers, joggers and runners,” said Patrick McCrann, Endurance Nation’s Founder and CEO. “This program is meant to give folks simple guidance to turn the next four weeks into some meaningful fitness and help them cross that 5k finish line!”
PROJECT5K is open to all, and registration can be found online.
Entrants receive a four-week training plan, ending in a virtual 5k. They can participate in a Facebook Group for support and motivation. Each week a runner will be selected to win a prize from one of the event sponsors, including: ROKA, Normatec/HYPERICE, and UCAN. Runners do have to complete the virtual 5k to be eligible for the grand prize in the fourth and final week.
