The XI edition of Mallorca 312, the first in the event’s history to be held in the autumn/fall, is offering up the last registration spots for its new date, October 10. Those who register for this year’s have the ‘right to a refund of the total fee’ in case of a possible cancelation.’
The Spanish event’s organising team was forced to postpone the sold-out event, originally scheduled for April 25, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Organization has already received a large number of confirmations from those who had already purchased their bib number. Some participants who, due to scheduling issues, can’t attend, have made their registration available and the last slots are now on sale and available to those who are interested.
‘The new event offers an opportunity to those who were not able to get a spot, since 8,000 registrations sold out in less than 13 hours. Thousands of cyclists are already registered and are on the waiting list, which will be activated so the fastest ones can purchase their bib number.’
The organisers add… ‘In addition to the postponement for the month of October, this gives participants the opportunity to train and prepare themselves better than ever for this great cycling event. Participants cycle around the island of Mallorca closed to traffic as they are surrounded by the incredible landscapes of the coast and the mountains.’
Health authorities are said to be ‘optimistic about being able to resume sports activities in the near future.’ The event organisers are therefore ‘confident that there will be no further issues regarding the progress during the month of October that is more than six months away… In spite of everything, all registrations have the right to a refund of the total fee, so participants can register without fearing a possible cancelation.’
