LimeLight Sports Group has acquired Virgin Sport’s portfolio of events that includes the Asics London 10k, Oxford Half Marathon and Hackney Half Marathon.
The Virgin Sport events join the existing family of events managed by the ‘LimeLight Sports Club’, which includes Etape Caledonia, Blenheim Triathlon, London Triathlon and London Duathlon.
In a statement the company noted… ‘This year LimeLight Sports Group celebrated its 30th anniversary and the acquisition demonstrates our ongoing commitment and passion to grow the active world and serve its consumers. The Virgin Sport events align perfectly with our ambition to create and develop the very best participation events in the UK and will provide a brilliant roster of running events to complement our cycling and multi-sports events.

LimeLight adds that the acquisition doesn’t change any individual or organisational involvement with LimeLight Sports Group, but it ‘will open up future opportunities for you to participate in a range of exciting participation experiences.’
