After months of racing being on hold due to the global pandemic, the hep triathlon team will face its first challenge at Challenge Davos, where it will debut its new Orca race kit.
Orca and the renewable energy company hep have ‘joined forces to support triathlon and to make a commitment to a more sustainable planet.’ The partnership between both companies comes from both having supported athletes such as Sebastian Kienle, Imogen Simmonds and Maurice Clavel for some time.
“Orca has been a premium technical brand for years, offering the highest performance,” said Ronnie Schildknecht, manager of the hep Sports Team. “Our athletes are very grateful and proud to represent Orca.”
Under its slogan ‘No green without blue’, Orca notes that it is continuing its commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its activity and protecting the environment. As a demonstration of this commitment, Orca eliminated all plastics from its wetsuit production this year, with the aim of eliminating all use of plastics in the packaging of other products by 2021.

The need for a more sustainable future is seen as a key brand value for Orca and the protection of the environment is shared with hep, the solar energy company whose slogan is ‘There is no Planet B’.
‘Both brands demonstrate that maximum performance is not at odds with more sustainable solutions and in that line, they have worked to offer the best products to their athletes.’
The hep team is made up of five professional triathletes and six junior triathletes. “We admire the endurance, versatility and success of the athletes,” explained hep global founder & CEO Christian Hamann.
Tomás Del Olmo, Chief Marketing Officer at Orca said “We hope that our athletes and ambassadors can help us inspire others, in addition to all the values of sport, love and respect for nature.
“This is another step forward to show that it is possible to invest in performance, inspire athletes and work towards a sustainable future.”
