Play Sports Network launches GCN Training

Play Sports Network (PSN), the company behind Global Cycling Network (GCN), has confirmed the launch of its 15th channel, GCN Training.

‘This dedicated channel will provide informative and engaging videos giving fans advice on physiology and nutrition alongside suggested gym and yoga workouts.’

In a release, PSN notes that…

‘Fans will also be the first to hear about the latest and greatest training technology on the market plus updates and discussion on topics including health, fitness and performance. There will be one workout video live per week (both with or without music) and one video focused on the latest nutrition/physiology/gym/fitness news each week.’

GCN’s training related videos have been watched a significant 40 million times since 2013. The media platform notes that this content has ‘proven to be even more critical for riders looking to exercise at home during this challenging year.’

GCN Training will be fronted by a mix of the familiar and knowledgeable GCN presenting team including: Simon Richardon, Dan Lloyd, Ollie Bridgewood, Manon Lloyd, James Lowsley-Williams, Alex Paton and Conor Dunne who, together, boast many years of pro cycling experience.

Simon Richardson, Director of Road Cycling at GCN said “With so many people looking to exercise and train indoors – especially after Christmas, GCN Training has come at the right time; and we’re confident we can give fans the enthusiasm and drive needed to kickstart their health and wellbeing in what will hopefully prove to be a more exciting year.”

GCN Training’s first video was published on 7th December. The channel will begin publishing regular content to its YouTube channel and on Facebook later this month. GCN’s content is delivered directly to the audience, via their smartphone, computer, tablet or television ‘to be consumed whenever and wherever.’
