Indoor training platform ROUVY has teamed up with a number of established brands to launch the fifth edition of ROUVY Career. This is a year-long cycling challenge where ‘every rider is motivated to make and track training progress whilst winning different prizes along the way.’
ROUVY starts its Career season each year on October 1st. The 2020-21 season is the fifth edition since the official introduction of the feature on the ROUVY platform. The company reports that ‘in recent years Career mode has seen rider’s growth and engagement skyrocket to over 50K participants.’
ROUVY’s CEO Petr Samek said ”We are happy that ROUVY is the place where training efforts and virtual experiences are rewarded in the real world. This year athletes will be eligible to win a one-week bike trip in Tuscany, Italy, with PEDALITALY and an entry to the ultra-cycling event with TORTOUR.”
ROUVY Career year is built like a ladder where the athlete is tasked to go from ‘Rookie’ to a ‘Legend’ in the 12 month period. Various tasks are provided to progress levels and keep the athletes’ motivation on track.
The company adds that completion of all levels may take 500 to 700 hours of intense training. This season a line-up of partners has joined ROUVY, with up to US$20K in prize value:
