Virtual racing of Eschborn-Frankfurt on ROUVY

Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Radsports (GFR), the race event organizer behind Eschborn-Frankfurt in Germany and the Deutschland Tour has an expanded partnership with virtual cycling platform, ROUVY.

ROUVY and GFR have announced a virtual challenge on three newly released virtual Eschborn-Frankfurt routes. The challenge takes place from December 7 to December 31.

The released road courses on ROUVY are a shorter version race course of 40.5km, the Feldberg Climb of 11.4km and the ‘legendary Mammolshainer Stich’, which is 5.8km. The routes feature sponsor branding at the start and finish gates, as well as other real-life objects.

ROUVY notes that ‘the riders of Eschborn-Frankfurt will enjoy the atmosphere of realistic presence as at the actual event.’

Nathanael Bank, Project Manager of Eschborn-Frankfurt, said “While we see the first snow on the Taunus hills, we want to present riders around the world with a special winter experience of Eschborn-Frankfurt.

“Within the next three weeks, athletes can ride three iconic routes and take on their very own challenge. This is the variety of the German Classic.”

Petr Samek, CEO of ROUVY, added “We are happy to host a challenge and extend Eschborn-Frankfurt locations. Our vision of complimenting outdoor races with a digital version now becomes a reality.

“It is so exciting for the global community of ROUVY riders from over 200 countries to be able to join in and be a part of the official UCI races happening in real life.”
