The functionality of Zwift Meetups has been upgraded. Online cycling platform Zwift notes that ‘thanks to new enhancements, there’s never been a better time to organize a group ride.’
- Zwift has doubled Meetup capacity. Previously, Zwift Meetups were capped at 50 people. Now up to 100 can be invited to a single event.
- There are ‘increased world choices’. Riders can now link up with a group in six Zwift worlds – Innsbruck, London, and New York to Richmond, Yorkshire, and Watopia.
- A ‘Meetup-Only View’ enables riders to hide other Zwifters from their in-game view. This means that Zwift users can ride in a selected world with just their Meetup riders for company – without other Zwifters in view.
Meetups can be initiated via the Zwift Companion app. From here, a date and route are chosen. The Meetup can select between time or distance, and participants are invited from the Zwifter’s list of followers.
