Based out of Calgary, Canada, AeroLab is developing real-time measurements of bicycle aerodynamics and stability.
In the first week of March the company will be showcasing its technology to the North/South American and European markets during two virtual events, each with open question & answer sessions. Targeting the professional bike fitter industry, the ‘AeroLab Fitter Symposium’ in Europe takes place on March 1, at 16:00 CET. The Americas symposium will be held on March 3, at 14:00 MST.
AeroLab notes that its AeroPro platform measures unsteady aerodynamics, vehicle rolling resistance, and metabolic activity. It does this through the integration of real-time sensors and proprietary learning algorithms. The company adds that its data capture, storage, analysis and global sharing is targeted towards network-connected IoT (Internet of Things) systems.
The company’s first symposium was held virtually (via Zoom) and covered how real-world aerodynamics is shaping the future of human performance at the highest levels of competition. Guest speakers included Cervélo Cycles’ co-founder Phil White and Shimano Europe’s Marketing Officer Bert Roesems.
