The automatic qualifiers for The Collins Cup have now been confirmed for Teams Europe, Internationals and US. There are four automatic qualifiers per gender for each team. Further team members will be added soon as ‘Captains Picks’, whereby team captains will select pro athletes of their choosing.
Organised by the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), the inaugural Collins Cup is scheduled to place in Šamorín, Slovakia, on August 28th, 2021. The new race format is modelled after the Ryder Cup, and will see teams of European, Internationals and USA athletes pitted against one another for global bragging rights.

In determining the ranking for Collins Cup Qualification, an athlete’s points are calculated by averaging the points, as calculated in accordance with the PTO World Ranking System. These are earned from the highest two of: (a) any races between December 1, 2020 and (b) the average of the athlete’s best three races for 2019 and 2020.
